Live Translator — Speak in One Language, Hear It in Another
A two-way voice translator for the shop counter. Pick the two languages, tap Speak on your side, say a sentence, and it's translated and spoken out loud on the other side — then the customer answers the same way. Works in 21 languages, including Spanish, Amharic, Nepali, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and more.

Pick the languages
Left side is usually English (you); right side is the customer's language. Use the ⇄ button to swap.
2️⃣
Tap Speak, talk, pause
Talk in a normal voice and pause when you're done. The words appear as you speak, then the translation appears and plays out loud on the other side.
3️⃣
Hand it over
The customer taps Speak on their side and answers in their language — you hear it in English. You can also type instead of speaking, and tap Play to repeat anything.
Tips: Works best in Chrome or Edge on a computer, and in Chrome or Safari on a phone. The first time, the browser will ask permission to use the microphone — tap Allow. Voices come from the device when it has them and from Google when it doesn't, so nearly every language is spoken out loud (Tigrinya, Somali and Farsi are shown as text for now). The whole website can also be read in any of these languages using the 🌐 language button in the top bar.
